Public Record — Introduction
Advocacy for Safety and Integrity in Ultrarunning
I’m creating this page to establish a clear, factual public record of my Ultrarunning career and the events that have unfolded alongside it. I keep detailed records, rely on contemporaneous documentation, and approach advocacy, reporting, and dispute resolution in a respectful and evidence-based manner.
Throughout my career, I have chosen to speak up and set boundaries when safety, personal wellbeing, fairness, and integrity were at stake— because protecting athletes, myself, and the sport matters more than silence or tolerance of harm. This commitment includes advocating for athlete safety, fair competition, and ethical governance, as well as defending myself and others against documented abuse.
DARVO (Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender) is a recognized framework used to explain how whistleblowing, advocacy, or self-defense can be reframed as wrongdoing. Included here for educational context in interpreting narrative distortion against a victim/whistleblower.
At times, my good-faith actions — including formal whistleblowing, self-defense, and boundary-setting — have been publicly distorted or mischaracterized as “bullying,” “harassment,” “accusations,” “controversy,” or “misconduct.” This framing is inaccurate and harmful.
Speaking up, whistleblowing, stating facts supported by evidence, and holding others accountable for wrongdoing are not misconduct or controversy; they are lawful, principled actions intended to prevent harm, uphold integrity, and ensure accountability.
In the absence of a single, authoritative reference, such mischaracterizations have been repeated and amplified without adequate context. This page exists to correct this distortion by presenting verified facts, timelines, and primary documentation, so readers can understand how and why patterns of targeting and retaliation emerged over the course of my career.
